Ministry of Commerce And Industries revises user charges for SEZ-online service


Ministry of Commerce and Industries has notified the revised user charges for SEZ-Online services that would be effective from November 15, 2021. Department of Commerce (DoC) had received various requests from the Developers, Co-developers, units in SEZs for rationalization and revision of user charges levied by NSDL from them for the SEZ-Online services. The issue has been examined and after duly examining the issues flagged by the service provider, it has been decided that the revised user charges for SEZ-Online services.

The Government has notified that, the transaction of Rs. 50 excluding the taxes is payable on Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, DTA Sale, Deemed Export, DTA Procurement with Export Benefit, Zone to Zone Transfer, DTA Procurement, Temporary Removal and Sub-contracting. The charge of Rs. 15 per invoice is applicable on Softex Forms. The charges of Rs.5000 per annum is payable on AMC Fee for Unit. However, AMC Fee for Developer and Co-developer is revised as Rs.10000 per annum. The Registration Fee for Unit is Rs. 25000 for one time and Registration fee for Developer and Co-developer is Rs. 50000 for one time.

Special economic zone (SEZ) is defined as an area where the business and trade laws are entirely different from the rest of the Country. SEZ Online is an integrated solution developed and implemented as per the directive of Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the speedy processing of various transactions that SEZ developers or units have with SEZ administration. The system facilitates Uniform Validations and Processes across all Zones or Units, Electronic filing and processing, Transparency in Government transactions. SEZ units which have been issued Letter of Approval by the Development Commissioner can use SEZ online system after carrying out Unit Regularization process.
