Delhi High Court Rejects Deepak Talwar's Bail Plea in Money Laundering Case - 20.09.2019

Delhi High Court has rejected the bail plea of lobbyist Deepak Talwar, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate(ED) in a money laundering case. The Court denied the relief to Talwar. He was arrested by the ED after his deportation from Dubai in January.

Gujarat HC Rejects Over 120 Pleas Against Land Acquisition for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project - 20.09.2019

Gujarat High Court has rejected over 120 petitions filed by farmers challenging the acquisition of their land for the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The Court ruled that the compensation offered to farmers by the State Government is fair.

NGT: Measure, Display Noise Level Prescribed for Aircraft at Delhi Airport - 20.09.2019

National Green Tribunal (NGT) has asked the Delhi International Airport Limited to measure and display the prescribed noise levels for aircraft at the international airport.The Tribunal noted that a notice to airmen was issued by the Airports Authority of India, which has been incorporated in the Aeronautical Information Publication on October 11, 2018, regarding use of reverse thrust by pilots while landing.

NCLAT Declines to Entertain RCom Resolution Professional - 19.09.2019

National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has declined to entertain a plea moved by the Resolution Professional (RP) of Reliance Communications Limited (RCom) seeking refund of nearly Rs 580 crore from Ericsson India. Instead, he was asked to approach the Mumbai bench of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Karnataka High Court: Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 Does not Allow Online Sale, Home Delivery of Liquor - 19.09.2019

Karnataka High Court has declared that the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 does not allow online sale or home delivery of liquor either for oneself or as an agent. The Court said, “It is not possible to carry out business of online order processing and delivery of liquor to the consumers in Karnataka in the absence of enabling provision available under the Karnataka Excise (KE) Act to grant such licence,” .
