SC: Magistrate can Accord Benefit of Exception to prevent a Frivolous Defamation Complaint - 09.10.2023

Supreme Court has held that nothing prevents the Magistrate upon application of judicial mind to accord the benefit of exceptions under Section 499 IPC, to prevent a frivolous defamation complaint from triggering an unnecessary trial.
