SC: Civil Proc. Outcome Binding on Criminal Proc. to Extent of Making Sentence/Damages Unsustainable - 05.04.2024

Supreme Court has observed that the outcome of a civil proceeding shall only be binding on the outcome of a criminal proceeding to the extent of holding the punishment or damages arising out of criminal proceedings as unsustainable in law.

Ker HC: Court Under Article 226 Can’t Intervene in Issues Related to Conducting Rituals in Church - 05.04.2024

SC: Can’t Include Time Spent in Contesting Bonafide Litigation at Wrong Forum, While Computing Limi. - 04.04.2024

SC has held that Section 14 of Limitation Act, 1963 makes it clear that an applicant who has prosecuted another civil proceeding with due diligence, before a wrong forum on account of defect of jurisdiction or another cause, is entitled to exclusion of the time in computing the period of limitation.

Cal HC: Agreement’s Certified Copy Attested by Notary Enough to Meet Condition of S. 8(2) of A&C Act - 04.04.2024
