GST Council Sets Stage For July 1 Roll Out, Seals Tax Rates of Final Six Items - 05.06.2017

GST Council in its 15th meeting held at New Delhi has fixed rates of gold, apparels, footwear, biscuits etc. As a corollary, 5% tax will be imposed on branded food items, 18% on tendu leaves, 18% on biscuits, 28% on bidis, 5% on footwear below Rs. 500, 18% on footwear above Rs. 500.
