#GST: Council Exempts 83 Services From GST Regime, Fits About 500 Services Under Four Slabs - 22.05.2017

Rail, air and road transport will fall in the 5 per cent tax slab. Hotels with tariff under Rs 1,000 will be exempt from GST, those between Rs 1,000-2,500 will be taxed at 12%, those between Rs 2,500-5,000 will attract 18%, and those with tariffs of above Rs 5,000 will be taxed at 28%.
