SC Says ‘Speedy Trial is Accused’s Fundamental Right’, Suggests Time Frame For Trial Procedure - 14.03.2017

Supreme Court, while holding that speedy trial in criminal cases is part of fundamental rights of an accused, has suggested a time-frame for lower courts to decide a case to ensure that accused do not languish in jail due to prolonged proceedings.
