Govt Proposes To Make Conversion Of Preference Shares To Equity Shares Tax Neutral - 02.02.2017

Government has proposed to provide tax neutrality to conversion of preference shares of a company into equity shares of that company by excluding such conversion from the purview of the word ‘transfer’.
