Madras HC Rejects Plea for Removing Titles Given to Dalit Habitations - 05.12.2016

Madras High Court has dismissed a PIL seeking directions to Tamil Nadu Government to remove ‘discriminatory’ titles such as ‘cheri, kuppam, colony’ given to habitations of Scheduled Caste people from all Government records and rechristen them.
