SC Quashes DDA Appeal over Vasant Kunj Land - 16.09.2016

SC, while quashing plea by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on acquisition of a piece of land in Vasant Kunj in 1961, has said that State’s right to expropriate land is not an absolute one and it would lapse if the acquisition proceeding is not completed within five years.
