Madras HC: Injury Need Not be Physical Always - 01.08.2016

Madras HC, while clarifying that injury doesn’t always need to be physical, has held that parents of a minor girl who was allegedly abducted and married by her cousin which led to suicide of girl’s 12-year-old brother is entitled to compensation under the Tamil Nadu Victim Compensation Scheme.
