Allahabad High Court: Magistrate Must Consider Closure Report Even After Taking Cognizance - 17.02.2026

Allahabad High Court observed that a Magistrate is legally obligated to consider and decide upon a Final Report (closure report) filed by the police, even if cognizance of the offence has already been taken earlier on the basis of a charge sheet.
