Delhi High Court: State Gratuity Authorities Lack Jurisdiction over Multi-State Establishments - 12.02.2026

Delhi High Court has held that State-appointed authorities under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 do not have jurisdiction to decide gratuity claims for establishments with branches in multiple states, as the Central Government serves as the “appropriate government” in such cases under the Act.
