Calcutta HC: Employee Can't be Stopped From Joining Rival Post-Resignation; Trade Secrets Protected - 11.02.2026

Cal HC reiterated that post-employment non-compete clause restraining employee from joining a competitor after resignation is prima facie void u/s 27 of the Contract Act, but clarified that confidentiality and non-solicitation clauses protecting trade secrets & business interests remain enforceable.
