SC: State Government Employees Cannot Claim Dearness Allowance Twice a Year Unless Rules Allow - 06.02.2026

While hearing West Bengal’s challenge to directions on payment of Dearness Allowance under the 2009 Pay Revision Rules, the Supreme Court held that state government employees have no vested right to receive DA twice a year unless such payment is expressly provided under the rules.
