SC: Compensatory Allowances Must Be Included While Computing Overtime Wages U/S 59 of Factories Act - 21.01.2026

Supreme Court ruled that compensatory allowances including House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Clothing and Washing Allowance, and Small Family Allowance constitute part of the “ordinary rate of wages” for calculating overtime wages under Section 59(2) of the Factories Act, 1948.
