Supreme Court Clarifies Test For Granting Bail to Accused Added at Trial under Section 319 CrPC - 09.01.2026

Supreme Court has held that when a person is added as an accused during the course of a trial, bail should ordinarily be granted and should not be refused unless there is strong, cogent, and convincing evidence indicating serious involvement in the alleged offence.
