Supreme Court: Excise Exemption on Cotton Fabrics is Denied if Any Related Process Uses Power - 03.12.2025

Supreme Court held that manufacturers cannot claim central excise exemption for cotton fabrics if power is used at any stage of production, even across separate units, restoring the duty and penalty previously set aside by CESTAT.
