Cal HC: CESTAT Appeals Abate After Resolution Plan Success; CENVAT Reversal Requires No Pre-Deposit - 17.11.2025

Calcutta High Court upheld the disallowance of ?165 crores CENVAT credit on steel structures, parts, and cement. The court ruled that appeals before CESTAT abated post-resolution and the Tribunal lacked jurisdiction after the corporate insolvency of Tata Steel Bhushan Steel Ltd.
