Kerala HC: Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists Cannot Use “Dr.” Without Medical Degree - 06.11.2025

Kerala High Court ruled that physiotherapists and occupational therapists without recognized medical qualifications cannot use the “Dr.” prefix. The court noted a conflict between the Indian Medical Degrees Act, 1916, and the Competency-Based Curriculum provisions for these professions.
