Supreme Court Clarifies How Delay in Issuing Arbitral Award Can Lead to its Setting Aside - 03.11.2025

Supreme Court has ruled under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, that mere delay in an arbitral award does not invalidate it. However, an inordinate, unexplained delay making the award ineffective or lacking consequential relief is against public policy and unenforceable.
