SC: Members of Unlawful Assembly Liable under Section 149 IPC Once Common Object is Proven - 30.10.2025

SC upheld the conviction of three individuals in a six-member group involved in a fatal assault, ruling that under Section 149 IPC, members of an unlawful assembly are vicariously liable for offences committed in furtherance of the common object, even if they did not inflict the fatal blow.
