SC Declines to Order Disclosure of CIC Shortlisted Candidates, Sees No Reason to Doubt Union - 27.10.2025

Supreme Court has refused to order the Union Government to disclose names of candidates shortlisted for the Central Information Commission (CIC), stating there was “no reason to doubt” that the Centre would follow its guidelines for transparent appointments under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
