Gujarat High Court: Sessions Court Can’t Suspend Sentence Just to Allow Revision Filing - 17.10.2025

Gujarat High Court held that neither the CrPC nor the BNSS empowers the first appellate court to suspend a sentence or release an accused solely to enable filing a revision plea challenging the conviction before higher courts.
