Supreme Court: No Exclusive Quota for Advocates in District Judge Direct Recruitment - 09.10.2025

Supreme Court Constitution Bench held that the 25% quota for direct recruitment to the post of district judges is not meant exclusively for advocates from the Bar, clarifying that eligible candidates from other streams can also be considered under the said quota.
