Supreme Court: Criminal Courts Can Only Correct Clerical Errors, Not Review Judgments - 09.10.2025

Supreme Court reiterated that a criminal court cannot review or recall its judgment except to correct clerical errors. It set aside the Rajasthan HC’s order transferring investigation to the CBI, holding that recalling an order under Section 482 CrPC (now 528 BNSS) exceeded its jurisdiction.
