Orissa HC: POCSO Accused Can File Discharge Plea Within 60 Days of Getting Police Documents - 24.09.2025

Addressing a legislative gap between the BNSS and the POCSO Act, the Orissa High Court held that an accused under the POCSO Act may file a discharge application under Section 250(1) of the BNSS within sixty days from the date of receiving police papers, as per Section 231 of the BNSS.
