Kerala HC: Income of Parent Who Abandoned Family Shouldn’t Count For EWS Reservation Eligibility - 15.09.2025

Kerala HC ruled that if a parent abandons the family, their income need not be considered for the child’s EWS certificate. The judgment came while hearing a plea by a NIFT aspirant whose EWS certificate was denied due to the non-abandoning parent’s income being assessed.
