SC: Gujarat Must Rationalise Pay as Contractual Asst Professors Paid Only ?30K - 25.08.2025

Supreme Court has slammed State of Gujarat for paying contractual Assistant Professors Rs. 30,000 while regulars earn Rs. 1L+ for identical work. Calling it “disturbing,” the Court upheld minimum pay parity and urged the State to rationalise the pay structure.
