SC: Limitation Period for Drugs & Cosmetics Act Offence Starts from Drug Analyst's Report - 21.08.2025

Supreme Court has ruled that for offences under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 punishable up to 3 years, the limitation period starts from publishing of the government analyst’s report. Complaints filed after this period are time-barred, even if the trial or High Court allowed continuation.
