P&H HC: Default Bail Can Be Granted by Magistrate/Sessions Court Even If Bail Plea Pending Before HC - 14.08.2025

Punjab & Haryana HC has ruled that Magistrates/Sessions Courts can grant default bail under Sec 167(2) of Criminal Procedure Code, even if, regular bail plea is pending before higher courts, holding it as a statutory right rooted in Article 21 of the Constitution.
