SC Orders BCI Probe After Party Denies Engaging Advocates in Fraudulent Settlement Case - 13.08.2025

The Supreme Court has ordered the Bar Council of India to conduct an inquiry after a litigant, Harish Jaiswal, claimed he never engaged lawyers who allegedly entered into a fraudulent settlement in his name in a property dispute. BCI must submit a report by October 2025.
