SC Upholds Medha Patkar’s Conviction in VK Saxena Defamation Case - 12.08.2025

The Supreme Court has upheld activist Medha Patkar’s defamation conviction in VK Saxena’s 2001 case but set aside the Rs. 1 lakh penalty, modifying probation to allow bond furnishing instead of periodic appearances.
