Kerala High Court: Must Give Accused Opportunity of Being Heard before Magistrate take Cognizance - 30.07.2025

Kerala High Court has observed that a key addition in Section 223(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 is the requirement that the accused must be given an opportunity to be heard before the Magistrate takes cognizance of the offence.
