Del. HC: For Purpose of Maintenance, DV Act Doesn’t Distinguish between First or Subsequent Marriage - 16.07.2025

Delhi HC observed that the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 does not distinguish between a first or subsequent marriage for the purpose of entitlement to maintenance. Once the husband voluntarily entered into the marriage he cannot now use that as a defence to resist his statutory obligations.
