SC: It is the Obligation of the Central Government to Maintain National Highways - 23.05.2025

SC has observed that under National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002, there is a provision in the form of Section 23, which stipulates that highway land shall be deemed to be property of the Central Government. Therefore, it is the obligation of the Centre to maintain the National Highways.
