Kerala HC: PIO Doesn’t Have Authority to Start Investigative Process under Section 7 of RTI Act - 16.05.2025

Kerala High Court while clarifying the duty of a Public Information Officer (PIO), has observed that under Section 7 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 a PIO has no power or obligation to open up an investigation while processing and disposing RTI Applications.
