SC: Benefit Under Probation of Offenders Act Inapplicable on Offences Committed Between 1976 & 2006 - 16.05.2025

SC has clarified that the benefit that Probation of Offenders Act envisages is inapplicable to offence committed under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954, if offence has been committed between introduction of Section 20AA in 1976 and its repeal in 2006 by Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
