SC: IO’s Testimony Based Only on Section 161 CrPC Statements of Witnesses is Not Admissible - 14.05.2025

Supreme Court has observed that testimony of investigation officer proving the witness statements recorded under Section 161 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is not reliable and cannot be admitted as evidence.
