SC: View of HC that Presentation of a Defective Election Petition is Not Compliance is Reasonable - 05.05.2025

Supreme Court has observed that the view of the Gujarat High Court that mere presentation of an election petition which is full of defects will not be sufficient compliance of "presentation" of petitions in terms of Section 81 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
