SC: High Courts Can’t Rely on Investigation Report in Plea to Quash FIR - 02.05.2025

Supreme Court has observed that while exercising powers under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973(CrPC), High Courts cannot assess or call for the submission of an investigation report as this authority solely rests with the Magistrate.
