SC: When Conditions are Met, No Discretion to Deny Release of Convict on Probation - 24.04.2025

Supreme Court has observed that in a case where the circumstances stated in subsection (1) of Section 4 of the Probation of Offenders Act, 1958 are attracted, the court has no discretion to omit from its consideration release of the offender on probation.
