Order to disclose PM’s university degree stayed

Gujarat High Court allowed an interim stay of a CIC decision directing Gujarat University to disclose details of Prime Minister Modi’s university degree.

Gujarat University contends that it was not a party to proceedings before the CIC and was not given an opportunity to be heard. The Single Judge of the High Court had issued notice to the CIC bench, however had not granted an interim injunction.

The matter will next be heard on 22 July 2016.
