Deadline for jewellers to register with Revenue extended

The Ministry of Finance extended the deadline by which jewellers must register themselves with central excise to 31 July 2016.

Though liability for payment of central excise duty was effective 1 March 2016, jewellers are permitted make payment of excise duty up to 31 July 2016.
