SC Directs UP Authority to Pay Compensation to Individuals Whose Houses Were Illegally Demolished - 02.04.2025

Supreme Court has directed Prayagraj Development Authority to pay compensation of 10 lakhs each to six individuals for illegal demolition of their houses. The Court stated that authorities must remember that the right to shelter is also an integral part of Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
