Telangana HC: Cohabitation on Pretext of False Divorce from First Wife Amounts to Rape - 31.03.2025

The Division bench of Telangana High Court has held that cohabitation built on deception without proven customary divorce from first wife amounts to rape. It further stated that accused would be guilty of offence punishable U/S 375 and 376 of IPC and alternatively, under Sections 63 and 64 of BNS.
