Supreme Court: Tree Census to be Undertaken in Taj Trapezium Zone - 06.03.2025

SC has directed a tree census in the Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ) for ensuring effective implementation of the Uttar Pradesh Protection of Trees Act, 1976. The Court further directed TTZ authority to appoint Forest Research Institute (FRI) as an authority to carry out tree census of the existing trees.
