SC: Interim Moratorium Not Applicable to Penalty Proceedings under Consumer Protection Act - 05.03.2025

Supreme Court has held that interim moratorium under Section 96 of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC) is not applicable on penalty proceedings under Section 27 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
