SC: ‘Manufacturing Process’ Includes Washing & Dry Cleaning of Clothes - 04.03.2025

SC has observed that ‘Manufacturing process’ means any process for washing or cleaning for its use, sale, transport, delivery or disposal. The linen deposited with launderer is, after washing and cleaning, delivered to customer for use, satisfying the ingredients of S. 2(m) of Factories Act, 1948.
