SC Refuses to Entertain PIL Seeking Addition of Are-Katika Community in SC Category - 24.02.2025

Supreme Court while refusing to entertain a public interest litigation seeking inclusion of the Are-Katika (Khatik) community in the Scheduled Castes (SC) category all across the country, has stated that Courts are not empowered to make alterations to SC lists.
